See What Is Coming Due Across Your Fleet
Aircraft maintenance tracking brings inspection requirements, recorded work, and a fleet-wide view of approaching due dates and meter limits into Pro.
A busy fleet can have several different maintenance clocks running at once. One requirement follows a calendar date, another depends on a meter reading, and a third needs information that has not yet been entered. Seeing those differences clearly helps a school decide what needs attention next.
Aircraft maintenance tracking is now available to eligible Pro schools on FAA Flight Schools. It brings aircraft requirements, recorded maintenance history, and a fleet report together so owners and authorized staff can review the information in one place.
Start with the aircraft's actual records
Each aircraft can have its own applicable inspection requirements and starting information. Schools can use the available setup options and add custom requirements, including aircraft-specific AD items, with the relevant supported dates or meter limits.
The starting point matters. A newly configured requirement needs its actual baseline; opening a setup screen does not mean an inspection was performed that day. This makes missing information visible while your team works through the aircraft records.
For a school moving away from scattered notes, that provides a useful first project: review one aircraft, establish the information that supports each requirement, and then repeat the process across the fleet.
Keep the work and its history together
Authorized team members can record completed work and review earlier entries. When an entry needs correction, the history preserves that change rather than quietly replacing the previous account of what happened.
This gives the next person reviewing the aircraft more context. They can follow the recorded work and corrections instead of relying only on a single date or number with no explanation behind it. It also makes a handoff between school staff easier to follow.
Move from one aircraft to the whole fleet
The maintenance report brings the tracked requirements into a school-wide view. Filter by aircraft, inspection type, or status to narrow the information you need. Depending on the requirement and available data, the report shows due dates or readings, remaining days or hours, and the information's recorded context.
- Review overdue and approaching requirements when planning maintenance work.
- Find aircraft that still need setup or better source information.
- Inspect a particular requirement without losing its connection to the aircraft.
- Include inactive aircraft or historical requirement states when that context is useful.
Unknown information remains visible. A missing reading should lead to a follow-up, not an assumption that everything is within limits. These tools support operational oversight; the underlying maintenance records and qualified maintenance decisions remain essential.
Put the right view in the right hands
Maintenance is available through the school's active Pro access, with separate permissions for managing aircraft requirements and reading reports. A colleague who only needs the fleet overview can have report access without receiving maintenance editing authority.
