Your next flight is on the schedule. Before meeting the student, you want to know what they last practiced, which skills need another look and what today's lesson should cover. After the session, you need a clear way to record what actually happened.

The new Lessons workspace brings those parts of the day together. It connects eligible scheduled sessions with the student's training plan and gives authorized instructors, school owners and designated Chief pilots a focused place to prepare and follow through.

Before the student arrives

Open Training to find Upcoming Lessons. For authorized owners and instructors with the required Schedule access, this is now the starting point for the training workday.

The list brings together scheduled sessions for students with an active or paused syllabus enrollment at the same school. If you also have access to the student's training record, open the session to review their briefing, recent finalized feedback and practice priorities. You can then choose a lesson from the student's assigned syllabus revision and attach it to the reservation.

The lesson plan carries the preparation, content and training targets into a focused print view, with space for session notes. A printed plan can be useful at a briefing table or in a flight bag while the full training record remains available in the workspace.

Instructors with permission to read the academic plan can review and print it; changing the assigned lesson also requires the school's appropriate Schedule permission.

After the flight, know what needs attention

The workspace separates several kinds of follow-up so your team can find the next useful action:

  • Needs grading highlights eligible sessions with recorded operational time and no linked training attempt, prompting a check of what instruction took place.
  • Drafts gathers training records that still need work.
  • History provides access to the completed records each person is authorized to see.
  • Past reservations helps your team review earlier scheduled sessions that need clarification.

A planned lesson stays a plan until an instructor records the instruction. Reservation duration does not become actual training time automatically, and an appointment by itself does not award a grade or training credit. The connection saves context while keeping the instructor responsible for the record.

Give a Chief pilot the right view

Schools can explicitly delegate Chief pilot authority to an instructor who needs to oversee training across the school. With that permission and the required access, the Chief pilot can review school lessons, prepare sessions and help complete training drafts beyond their own primary student assignments.

When a Chief pilot acts on another instructor's draft, the original evaluator remains identified and the reason for the Chief pilot's action is recorded. Enrollment management and corrections to finalized assessments remain separate responsibilities.

This workspace builds on our new school syllabi and student-progress tools. It is available to authorized staff through the school's active Pro access, with school permissions determining the sessions and records each person can use.
