One Account, More Than One Flight School
Students and instructors can now keep multiple school relationships, accept school invitations, and switch their active school from one account.
You might instruct at one airport and rent an aircraft at another. You might train with a school near home while keeping an approved relationship with a second school for occasional flying. A single-school account does not reflect every pilot's situation.
FAA Flight Schools now supports multiple school relationships within one student or instructor account. The multi-school capability introduced in our earlier product preview is available, including school invitations and a way to choose the school you are working with.
Keep your account while your flying changes
Students and instructors can request relationships with additional schools and manage those relationships from the association area. Each school has its own approval state and school-specific role. You can be associated as a student or renter at one school and as an instructor at another without creating a second personal identity.
The account supports up to ten school associations. A pending request remains a request until the school approves it, so joining another school follows the same deliberate introduction that a new relationship deserves.
This is particularly useful when you add another school without leaving your current one. You can maintain both relationships and choose the appropriate school when using its tools.
Schools can make the first move
A school owner can invite an existing student or instructor account to associate with the school. The recipient reviews the invitation and chooses whether to accept it. Sending an invitation does not automatically enroll someone in a school relationship or give them access.
For a school welcoming an instructor or an existing renter, this offers a second starting point alongside the person's own association request. Both paths lead to an explicit relationship that the people involved can recognize and manage.
New members should still create their own personal accounts. That keeps their identity and their decision to join with them as they build relationships with different schools.
Choose the school before you get to work
When more than one approved, usable school context is available, the school selector lets you change the active school. The surrounding school tools then use that selected relationship and the access the school has granted.
That distinction is helpful in everyday use. Billing information belongs to the selected school, and school-specific roles and scheduling permissions remain separate. Permission to work with one school does not automatically provide the same access at another.
Before making a reservation or reviewing a school account, check the active-school label. It is a small habit that helps keep a multi-school routine clear, especially when the same person works as an instructor in one place and flies as a renter elsewhere.
A free account can go further
Multi-school associations, invitations, and school switching do not require Pro. They are part of the account experience for eligible students, instructors, and school owners. Pro is a separate option for schools exploring additional operational tools.
